Learn Stick In San Diego

I tried learning stick in 2012.

It was a Volkswagen Jetta.

It was glossy red. It was beautiful. It was pristine.

It was brand new.

My friend showed me the process.

I couldn’t figure it out.

I began to sweat in the driver’s seat.

When I thought I got it, I tried to move the car but grinded the gears.

It left me shocked and perplexed.

I didn’t try for another ten years…

In 2022, I bought a manual transmission car.

I had to buy one to get the practice…

There are no places to learn stick.

I want others to have a fun, efficient first experience with learning stick shift.

Since, I have taught my friends and family.

In the process, I’m seen and identified the major learning hurdles.

I can teach you quickly and avoid major, costly mistakes.

Basic lesson (“Try It”):
- 90 minutes
- Meet at Fiesta Island or Clairemont Mesa
- Understand fundamentals
- Clutch pedal exercise
- Rowing through gears
- Taking off (0-5mph)
- Slowing down (20 mph to 0 mph)
- Laminated copy to keep at home
- $175/lesson
Extended lesson (“Master It”):
- 120 minutes
- Everything included in Basic
- 30 minute guided practice on quiet street
- $275/lesson
